Massive.Audio.Nerve that is the name of the new massive, nerve-wrecking audio masterpiece of the Swedish guys of M.A.N. And though they have never released any explanations about what their band name stands for you will have the feeling M.A.N has exactly this one meaning: M for Massive, A for Audio, N for Nerve.

Massive, aggressive, energetic, haunting, indestructible, huge, unshakable, powerful, screaming, high-class, unbreakable, extreme these are just a few of the synonyms for the word 'massive' and all of them suit the new album perfectly. It rains down on you like a massive Metal thunderstorm without a chance to escape!
Recorded with engineer Svein Jensen and mixed by Ulrich Wild (Pantera, Static-X, White Zombie, Prong), and mastered by Maor Appelbaum, which all did a great job and sublimated the self-contained created tone system. Songs such as Logocide or Don't Wake Up do not leave the chance to breathe and send the listener with their exotic sounds into heavenly (Metal-) spheres.

for Audio.

This sound is definitely unique literally. With the production of the album, M.A.N have created the so-called Full Scale Quarter Tone System (48 Fret Metal), a whole new system of notes which they have adapted to the written songs. That means that there are 24 quarter semi tones, instead of 12 "ordinary" semi tones, within the reach of an octave (1200 cent). This has led to new kinds of expressions, possibilities and is featured by more than just a quick appearance in a solo instrument, but rather covered by Rob (bass guitar) and Rob Guz (guitar) as well as singer Tony JJ in whole entire songs. It also lives within a state of equilibrium along side the ordinary semi tone system.

With almost nothing left to say you can conclude Massive Audio Nerve is ingenious, extraordinary and full of thrills and surprises.

Biography

Tony JJ is an all-round singer who has been involved in several bands thru the years. With being front man of Mnemic, the Swedish bands B-Thong, Transport League and Angel Blake, he not only fronts the Russian formation Icon In Me, he is also the founder and leader of M.A.N

Next to him there are Andreas Engberg on drums, bassist Rob Hakemo, who played in Engel & Relevant Few in the past and Rob Guz, who peaked people's interest worldwide by presenting his 11-stringed guitar, other custom-made instruments and his skills on Youtube among others portals, including live performances.

Back in 2007 M.A.N release their first album Obey, Consume, Reject with keen, aggressive songs like Last Injection (on the Xbox360 / PS3 game The Darkness), but also softer sounds. This album collected a lot of fans very quickly. The 'hell ride' which is promised by the band gets well-accepted.

"So fasten your seatbelts and prepare yourself for a hell ride!"

Peacenemy (release: March 14th 2008), the second album a year later, gets much attention in the Rock- and Metal scene due to new won partners in the home of Sweden as well as in all of Europe. In Germany, the home base of record label Tiefdruck-Musik, press partners are amazed and filled with excitement. Online magazine Powermetal advices "the heavy-modern-metal section should definitely note M.A.N down.", Vainstream reports with excitement: "That album is kicking you totally IN YOUR FACE!" and EMP concludes: "You will need nerves of steel, but this metallic orgy is always worth it."

The first single My Own Sickness (release: March 7th 2008), on which Fear Factory singer Burton C. Bell and Tony JJ out-scream each other, is adapted to a music video by Martin Holtmann pink drums included and gets a nominee in the category "Video Of The Year" at the Swedish Metal Awards.
The second single Blood Vanish, which is put out with the unreleased track Lay Down, You're Dead, is also adapted to a phenomenal, very special video by director Gabriel Engberg - and is shot in a slaughterhouse!

They have toured with bands such as Fear Factory and Mustasch, M.A.N join the Californian guys of Five Finger Death Punch in spring 2009 to play a couple of shows through Germany. In winter 2010 Fear Factory, who became friends with M.A.N, invite them a second time to support Fear Factory exclusively in Scandinavia. Here and on every other upcoming show the audiences will be excited to discover the new songs and how M.A.N present their Full Scale Quarter Tone System (48 Fret Metal).

With the third album, Massive Audio Nerve, which is generally the decisive one in a bands career, these four Swedes prove another time, how brilliant their music is and that they are rightly part of the elite in 'Gothenburg's school of Metal'. Recorded in Grand Recordings Studio in the city named before, M.A.N simply better themselves and with Ulrich Wild (Deftones, White Zombie, Static-X etc) mixing the album they clearly have expand their own sound much broader.

In October 2010 guitar player Rob Guz leaves the band for personal reasons. With the arrival of his remplacement, Nils Olsson, the band is now stronger than ever and ready for the road !

M.A.N joins the Threat over Europe Tour with Threat Signal, Sybreed, Raunchy and In Cold Blood for a 22 show tour in Europe in Nov/Dec 2010.
